Mitsui Fudosan, Panasonic kick-start Taiwan housing JV in New Taipei City

Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd. and Panasonic Corp. are building a 137-unit residential development in New Taipei City, Taiwan, as the first project of a housing joint venture the duo formed in 2017.

The project, tentatively called the Sanchong Zhongxing Bridge Project, will stand on a roughly 33,130-square-foot site and offer 191,750 square feet of total floor area across 22 floors. Work on the site will start in the fall for a scheduled 2021 completion.

The Sanmatsu Development and Construction Co. Ltd. partnership is a built-for-sale housing business that seeks to promote Japanese residential construction standards and practices in Taiwan.
