Shaklee Global fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Shaklee Global Group Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥1,194.49 per share, a decrease of 18.9% from ¥1,472.07 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.70 billion, a decrease of 22.3% from ¥2.19 billion in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 12.5% from 16.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥13.64 billion from ¥13.49 billion, and total operating expenses rose 8.5% year over year to ¥11.11 billion from ¥10.24 billion.

Reported net income declined 18.8% year over year to ¥1.83 billion, or ¥1,280.69 per share, from ¥2.25 billion, or ¥1,511.67 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
