Unity Health Plans Insurance, Gundersen Health Plan sign letter of intent

Unity Health PlansInsurance Corp. and GundersenHealth Plan Inc. signed a nonbinding letter of intent to consider combiningtheir businesses, the companies said Jan. 29.

Unity Health Plans Insurance, an affiliate of UW Health, providescommunity-based managed care products and services to more than 170,000 membersthroughout 20 counties in southwestern Wisconsin.

Gundersen Health Plan is a nonprofit subsidiary of with morethan 80,000 members in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
