Spectrum Rare Earths says Calif. gold property damaged by wildfires

Spectrum Rare Earths Ltd. on Aug. 8 said the previously reported wildfires near Redding in northern California have damaged the surface infrastructure of the Washington gold property. It reiterated that all personnel are accounted for and safe.

The company in May secured an option with a view to acquiring the past-producing project.

It had requested an extension to the 90-day exclusive option period as a result of the fire, which the vendor granted.

Spectrum is in talks with the vendors to find a way forward to account for the changed circumstances.
