Romgaz's Q2 adjusted earnings rise 9% on year amid strong gas production, sales

Romgaz Group, a subsidiary of Romania's S.N.G.N. RomGaz SA, reported second-quarter earnings before interest, taxes and amortization of 707.3 million Romanian lei, up 9.1% on the year.

Rising natural gas production and increased revenues from gas sales boosted the company's total income for the second quarter to 1.0 billion Romanian lei, rising 11.1% from the same period in 2017, according to an Aug. 14 news release.

The company's revenue for the quarter climbed almost 11% on the year to 992.2 million Romanian lei.

As of Aug. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 4.08 Romanian lei.
