White Rock Minerals Ltd. reported upgraded gold-silver resources for the Strauss and Kylo deposits at its Mount Carrington property in New South Wales, Australia.
Indicated resources total 4.1 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t of gold and 1.6 g/t of silver for 188,000 ounces of gold and 207,000 ounces of silver, while inferred resources are estimated at 410,000 tonnes at 1.7 g/t of gold and 2.3 g/t of silver for 22,000 ounces of gold and 31,000 ounces of silver.
The estimate uses a cutoff grade of 0.5 g/t of gold, according to the Oct. 9 release.
The update represents an improvement in indicated resources at the two deposits, with tonnage increased by 44%, gold grade improved by 10% and contained gold ounces increased by 62%.
White Rock is working on a pre-feasibility study for the "Gold Stage One" part of its mine plan for Mount Carrington, with a reserves estimate and pre-feasibility report expected to be completed by year-end.
