Cardinal Health's product distribution restructuring to cost $130M

Cardinal Health Inc. said its decision to make a change in the business model for one of its products will cost the company $130 million.

The company is transitioning to a direct-distribution model from third-party distribution for the sale of surgeon gloves in certain countries outside the U.S.

Of the total, $125 million will be recorded in the quarter ended Sept. 30 while the remainder will be incurred in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.

The company expects to complete the transition in 2018.
