Italy's seasonally adjusted industrial production rose 1.1% in June from the month before, after a 0.7% increase in May , the National Institute of Statistics said.
In annual terms, the calendar-adjusted industrial production index, in volume terms and excluding construction, advanced by 5.3%, up from May's 2.8% rise. In unadjusted terms, the annual increase was 5.4%.
The statistical office also said production rose 1.1% during the quarter ended June compared with the previous quarter. The calendar-adjusted index for the six months to June climbed 2.2% compared with the same period a year ago.
