Members of Arlington, Va.-based Partnership FCU approved the credit union's merger into Washington, D.C.-based NASA FCU, Credit Union Journal reported.
Partnership FCU branches will close Sept. 27 and will re-open as NASA FCU branches on Oct. 1, according to a transition guide in NASA FCU's website.
As of June 30, NASA FCU had total assets of $2.77 billion, while Partnership FCU had total assets of $149.7 million, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
The combined credit union will have 14 branches and more than 172,000 members.
