China International Capital names new CEO, directors

China International Capital Corp. Ltd. named a new CEO and new directors to the board.

The company appointed Huang Zhaohui CEO, effective Dec. 30, 2019, to replace Bi Mingjian. Huang Zhaohui will also hold the post of executive director.

Huang has been head of the investment banking department of the company since April 2013.

Shen Rujun, Huang Hao, Xiong Lianhua, Tan Lixia and Duan Wenwu were named as nonexecutive directors.

Shen Rujun has been chairman of the company since August 2019. Huang Hao served as deputy director of the securities and insurance institution management departments of Huijin since June 2015. Xiong Lianhua has been working in Huijin since January 2012 and has served as nonexecutive director of New China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. and director of New China Asset Management Co. Ltd.

Tan Lixia currently serves as the executive vice president of Haier Group, chairman of Haier Group (Qingdao) Financing Holding Co. Ltd., vice chairman of Haier Smart Home Co. Ltd. and a nonexecutive director of Bank of Qingdao Co. Ltd., among other posts.

Duan Wenwu has served as the general manager of China National Investment and Guaranty Corp.

Meanwhile, Peter Hugh Nolan was appointed independent nonexecutive director. Nolan is an independent nonexecutive director of China Everbright Group and director of China Centre of Jesus College at the University of Cambridge.

The supervisory committee also nominated Jin Lizuo and Cui Zheng candidates for non-employee representative supervisors.
