Hargreaves Lansdown's dividend for fiscal year 2019 up 5% YOY

U.K.-based Hargreaves Lansdown PLC's total dividend for the year ended June 30 is 42 pence per share, up from 40 pence per share for the prior year.

The asset manager declared a final dividend of 23.4 pence per share for the year, compared to 22.1 pence per share a year ago, and a special dividend of 8.3 pence per share, compared to the year-ago 7.8 pence per share.

The final and special dividends will be paid Oct. 18 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on Sept. 27, pending shareholder approval for the final dividend.

Hargreaves Lansdown reported net profit attributable to owners of the parent of £247.4 million for the year ended June 30, up from £236.3 million a year ago. EPS for the period rose year over year to 52.0 pence from 49.6 pence.
