Vestas to supply turbines for Taaleri Energia's 34-MW wind project in Norway

Finland's Taaleri Energia, through its SolarWind II fund, has selected Vestas Wind Systems A/S to supply turbines for the proposed 34-MW Haramsfjellet wind project on the island of Haramsøya in western Norway.

Under the contract, Vestas will supply, install and commission eight turbines, each with a capacity of 4.2 MW. The contract also includes a 27-year active output management service agreement.

Delivery of the turbines is slated for the second quarter of 2020, and commissioning of the project is scheduled for the fourth quarter of that same year. Once it goes online, the wind farm is expected to generate enough power for 7,000 homes.

The Taaleri Oyj subsidiary acquired 100% ownership of the wind project while project developer Zephyr will remain as construction management consultant as well as technical and commercial management provider when the project becomes operational.
