Macy’s names chief financial officer

U.S. department store chain Macy's Inc. named Paula Price its new chief financial officer, effective July 9, the company said in a news release May 23.

Price will succeed Karen Hoguet, who, as previously announced, is retiring at the end of the company's fiscal 2018 year. She will remain in a company advisory role during Macy's transition period until February 2019.

Price has 30 years of finance experience in retail and consumer businesses. She will lead Macy's finance, accounts, investor relations and internal audit functions. She has been a full-time lecturer at the Harvard Business School since 2014. Her most recent corporate position was with Ahold USA as an executive vice president and CFO.
