Teladoc Health Inc., a Purchase, N.Y.-based provider of health services through phone and internet, appointed Mark Smith to its board of directors.

Smith is a professor of clinical medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and a visiting professor at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley.
