WorleyParsons granted consultancy contract for Egyptian hydrocracking complex

WorleyParsons Ltd. said Oct. 8 that the Assiut National Oil Processing Co. granted it a four‐year project management consultancy contract for the Assiut Hydrocracking Complex in Egypt for an undisclosed amount.

In particular, the firm will oversee the complex project's basic engineering phase, which includes open book estimates as well as its design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

The complex is estimated to process the conversion of 2.5 million tonnes per year of heavy fuel oil into high-quality petroleum products.

The contract start and other financial details were not disclosed.
