's comedy programming brand Adult Swim secured asyndication agreement with Australia's Nine Network, Rapid TV News reported July 9.
Nine'syouth-oriented channel 9GO! is hosting a weekly, one-hour evening block ofAdult Swim programs including "Aqua Teen Hunger Force,""Harvey Birdman," "Robot Chicken,""Squidbillies" and "The Venture Bros." Theagreement also gives Nine catch-up and streaming rights to the shows.
The deal marks the free-to-air debut for many Adult Swimshows, including "Rick and Morty," which will premiere on the channellater this year. The broadcaster also acquired format rights to produce anAustralian version of "FishCentre," the U.S. comedy brand's talk show.
