Intact Financial Corp. announced changes to the roles and responsibilities of its leadership team.

Pete Weightman was appointed to the newly created role of senior vice president and chief underwriting officer of specialty solutions for North America. Carla Smith will become senior vice president of specialty solutions for Canada.

Ken Anderson will be promoted to senior vice president of investor relations and corporate development. He will continue to lead the investor relations team.

The executive appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2020.
