Amazon.com Inc. has acquired logistics management startup and licensed customs broker INLT.
"INLT is now an Amazon company," the startup said on its website. "We have been acquired by Amazon and look forward to working with them to develop the next generation of solutions for our current customers and Amazon Selling Partners."
According to an Amazon spokesperson, the company bought INLT to help its sellers easily import goods into the U.S. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
INLT raised $1 million in its seed funding round announced in April 2018.
The startup is based in Los Angeles and Philadelphia and has around a dozen employees, the news wire said. It develops software for sellers to manage costs and customs clearance of cross-border shipments.
Following the acquisition, Amazon will offer INLT's cloud-based computing technology to its third-party merchants.
