The Central Bankof Sri Lanka maintainedits key policy rates on the back of continued economic growth and increase in inflationparameters.
The Sri Lankan central bank said March 29 that it kept its standingdeposit facility rate and standing lending facility rate at 6.50% and 8.00%, respectively.The statutory reserve ratio was held at 7.50%.
The central bank said the country's economy grew by 4.8% in 2015.Headline inflation based on the Colombo Consumer Price Index increased to 2.7% inFebruary from the prior-year period, compared with 0.9% in January. Year-on-yearheadline inflation based on the National Consumer Price Index also increased, to1.7% in February from negative 0.7% recorded in January.
