NRG Energy Inc. on Oct. 9 completely redeemed all of its outstanding 6.25% senior notes due 2022.

The company paid an amount equal to 103.125% of the $485.2 million principal amount of the redeemed 2022 notes plus accrued and unpaid interest to the date of the redemption, according to an Oct. 10 news release. The redemption is part of NRG's deleveraging plan.
