Total U.S. nuclear plant availability nudged higher early March 13 to 88.47%, up from 88.36% on March 12 and slightly lower than the 88.83% reported on the same day in 2017.
Giving a boost to total production was increased output at Exelon Corp.'s Clinton Power Station in Illinois. The unit was operating at 97% power early March 13, rising from 85% on March 12.
With the refueling season now underway, 11 units are offline as of early March 13.
