China Hanking Holdings Ltd.'s high-purity iron business resumed production after completing technological improvements on schedule.
The company said Oct. 9 that the enhancements led to an increase in annual capacity to 660,000 tonnes from 560,000 tonnes.
Production had been suspended since April for the upgrades, which included adopting "advanced equipment and improved automation." Output has been stable since the blast furnaces were ignited Oct. 2, the company added.
