Airbus SE said it had taken full ownership of Sepang Aircraft Engineering, or SAE, after acquiring the remaining shares in the Malaysian repair and maintenance company.
Airbus said SAE is an important part of its growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific market. The new fully owned subsidiary opened a second hangar in September to deal with increasing demand, according to Airbus.
In 2011, Airbus purchased a 40% stake in SAE for an undisclosed sum, according to The Wall Street Journal.
