Morgan Stanley's Q3 i-banking revenues up 13% YOY

Morgan Stanley reported third-quarter earnings applicable to common shareholders of $1.69 billion, or 93 cents per share, compared to $1.52 billion, or 81 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

The S&P Capital IQ consensus GAAP EPS estimate for the quarter was 81 cents.

Consolidated net revenues for the quarter increased 3% year over year to $9.20 billion from $8.91 billion.

The company reported investment banking revenues of $1.38 billion for the third quarter, up 13% from $1.23 billion in the year-ago quarter.
