Chori Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to ¥52.69 per share, an increase of 38.2% from ¥38.12 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.29 billion, a gain of 38.2% from ¥934.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 2.1% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to ¥62.86 billion from ¥63.84 billion, and total operating expenses fell from the prior-year period to ¥60.80 billion from ¥62.24 billion.
Reported net income rose 29.1% from the prior-year period to ¥1.16 billion, or ¥47.35 per share, from ¥899.0 million, or ¥36.66 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
