The Japan Wool Textile Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, was ¥18.82 per share, a gain of 28.6% from ¥14.64 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.40 billion, a gain of 26.6% from ¥1.11 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 5.2% from 4.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥26.93 billion, compared with ¥26.87 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥24.79 billion from ¥25.33 billion.
Reported net income increased 16.1% year over year to ¥896.0 million, or ¥12.02 per share, from ¥772.0 million, or ¥10.19 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥63.60 per share, an increase of 18.2% from ¥53.83 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥4.80 billion, a rise of 17.7% from ¥4.08 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose from the prior-year period to ¥102.85 billion from ¥100.48 billion, and total operating expenses increased year over year to ¥95.59 billion from ¥94.53 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 31.3% year over year to ¥4.69 billion, or ¥62.16 per share, in the full year, from ¥3.57 billion, or ¥47.15 per share.
As of Feb. 25, US$1 was equivalent to ¥112.67.
