WonderCorp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 28 amounted to ¥66.80 per share, a decline of 7.3% from ¥72.09 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥359.3 million, a decrease of 7.4% from ¥387.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.6% from 1.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell on an annual basis to ¥22.72 billion from ¥23.38 billion, and total operating expenses fell from the prior-year period to ¥22.41 billion from ¥22.70 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥45.0 million, or a loss of ¥8.37 per share, compared to income of ¥371.0 million, or ¥68.98 per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥108.11 per share, a gain from ¥18.80 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥581.5 million, a rise from ¥101.1 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue decreased from the prior-year period to ¥83.90 billion from ¥87.98 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥83.73 billion from ¥87.10 billion.
The company said reported net income came to a loss of ¥113.0 million, or a loss of ¥21.01 per share, in the full year, compared with income of ¥1.13 billion, or ¥210.08 per share, the prior year.
