Jersey CentralPower & Light Co. has completed the final phase of a $48 million,11.5-mile transmission line project to enhance reliability in New Jersey's Mercer,Middlesex and Monmouth counties.
The company completed the construction of a new, 8-mile 115-kVtransmission line between its substation in Hightstown and a transmission structurenear Manalapan, according to a July 12 release. The completed project will servethe FirstEnergy Corp.subsidiary's customers in East Windsor, Englishtown, Hightstown, Manalapan, Millstoneand Monroe.
