Shareholders of DHX Media Ltd. approved an amendment to the company's articles to change its name to WildBrain Ltd.

The company expects the name change to take effect on or about Dec. 18. Subsequent to the name change, DHX Media's ticker on the Toronto Stock Exchange will change to WILD on or about Dec. 23.

DHX Media's voluntarily delisting of its common voting shares and variable voting shares from the Nasdaq Stock Market will take effect Dec. 24. All shares previously traded on the Nasdaq will continue to be listed and tradeable on the TSX under the ticker WILD, the company said Dec. 17.
