Consolidated Zinc Ltd. estimated a JORC 2012-compliant maiden mineral resource at its Plomosas zinc-lead-silver project in northern Mexico totaling 96,000 tonnes of contained zinc and lead metal in the indicated and inferred categories.
The resource is contained in 568,000 tonnes of material at 16.9% zinc and lead, and 28.4 g/t of silver, according to a Dec. 15 news release.
The indicated resource stands at 99,000 tonnes at 28.0% zinc and lead below level seven of the mine.
The resource remains open and is limited only by the extent of drilling to the south and to the north, and the company has planned a drilling program to extend the resource during the first and second quarters of 2017.
