ES-CON JAPAN Ltd. said its fourth-quarter normalized net income was ¥15.29 per share, an increase of 82.8% from ¥8.36 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.03 billion, a gain of 76.5% from ¥583.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 7.0% from 6.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 61.6% on an annual basis to ¥14.81 billion from ¥9.16 billion, and total operating expenses rose 61.6% on an annual basis to ¥12.96 billion from ¥8.02 billion.
Reported net income increased 9.0% from the prior-year period to ¥1.40 billion, or ¥20.75 per share, from ¥1.28 billion, or ¥18.38 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥28.60 per share, a gain of 56.4% from ¥18.29 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.95 billion, an increase of 52.2% from ¥1.28 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 47.0% from the prior-year period to ¥27.70 billion from ¥18.84 billion, and total operating expenses grew 47.8% year over year to ¥23.69 billion from ¥16.03 billion.
The company said reported net income rose 26.0% on an annual basis to ¥3.04 billion, or ¥44.50 per share, in the full year, from ¥2.41 billion, or ¥34.38 per share.
