AT&T, CWA reach tentative deal on National Internet Contract

AT&TInc.'s Internet Services and Communications Workers of Americareached a tentative deal regarding the National Internet Contract coveringabout 1,200 CWA-represented employees across 16 U.S. states.

The wireline employees covered in the deal work on the IPTVand DSL side of AT&T's business, according to an Oct. 4 news release. Theagreement will be presented before the union's members in a few days for aratification vote.

The telco recently reached three tentative deals covering more than 2,000DIRECTV field services employees in three regions of the U.S. Since 2015, thecompany has reached 19 agreements with CWA and International Brotherhood ofElectrical Workers, which collectively cover more than 95,000 employees.
