Cheryl Gardner was appointed CEO of beWellnm, New Mexico's health insurance exchange, effective March 1, Albuquerque (N.M.) Business First reported.

Gardner will take over from Linda Wedeen, beWellnm's senior communications and marketing director, who served as interim CEO, according to the report. Gardner currently serves as executive director of the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace.
