An-shin Food Services Q4 profit climbs YOY

An-shin Food Services Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter amounted to 66 Taiwan cents per share, a gain from 25 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$21.3 million, an increase from NT$7.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.0% from 0.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 10.1% on an annual basis to NT$1.08 billion from NT$982.2 million, and total operating expenses climbed 6.1% from the prior-year period to NT$1.07 billion from NT$1.01 billion.

Reported net income grew year over year to NT$17.2 million, or 53 cents per share, from NT$3.5 million, or 11 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$4.29 per share, an increase of 51.6% from NT$2.83 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$139.3 million, a rise of 51.7% from NT$91.8 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased on an annual basis to NT$4.42 billion from NT$4.25 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to NT$4.29 billion from NT$4.20 billion.

The company said reported net income increased 41.7% on an annual basis to NT$131.4 million, or NT$4.05 per share, in the full year, from NT$92.7 million, or NT$2.86 per share.

As of Feb. 26, US$1 was equivalent to NT$33.28.
