Spark Power announces acquisition of 3-Phase Electrical

Ontario-based Spark Power Group Inc. is expanding its footprint in western Canada with the acquisition of Winnipeg, Manitoba-based 3-Phase Electrical Ltd., a low-voltage electrical service and contracting company.

Financial terms of the acquisition, which is being carried out via a share price agreement, were not disclosed.

3-Phase specializes in delivering medium- to large-scale electrical installations and providing value-added services to blue-chip customers in the industrial and commercial sectors, according to a news release.

Spark Power expects the acquisition to be immediately accretive to earnings.

3-Phase will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Spark Power, operating within its technical services group. However, it will continue its operations under the same brand name, with its management becoming a part of Spark Power.
