Private equity-backed Emerald Textiles buys MediClean assets

Emerald Textiles acquired the assets of Los Angeles-based healthcare linen service provider MediClean Linen and Laundry.

The buyer, which provides industrial healthcare laundry and linen services, has seven sites on the U.S. West Coast as a result of the acquisition. Emerald plans to invest more than $6.0 million in a Los-Angeles based facility's retooling and equipment upgrade.

Emerald also started a 60 million-pound facility in Livingston, Calif., which will serve the company's customers in Northern California, along with its existing facility in Turlock. It expects the new facility to be finished by the third quarter of 2019.

Emerald is a portfolio company of private equity firms Pacific Avenue Capital Partners LLC and Highland Avenue Funds LLC.
