Caldwell County Bancshares Inc. has applied to acquire Horizon State Bank of Cameron, Mo., according to a list of filings the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City received in the week ended Dec. 23.
SNL valuations for bank and thrift targets in the Midwest region between Dec. 29, 2016, and Dec. 29, 2017, averaged 156.56% of book, 161.08% of tangible book and had a median of 19.63x last-12-months earnings, on an aggregate basis.
Hamilton, Mo.-based Caldwell County Bancshares is the parent company of Bank Northwest, which had $127.3 million in assets as of Sept. 30. Horizon, an Osborn Bancshares Inc. subsidiary, had $20.2 million in assets.
SNL data shows that Caldwell County Bancshares will enter Dekalb County, Mo., with one branch to be ranked fourth with a 7.93% share of roughly $239.2 million in total market deposits.
