Edison International on July 26 reported second-quarter core earnings of $274 million, or 85 cents per share, compared to core earnings of $278 million, or 85 cents per share, in the comparable period of 2017. The S&P Capital IQ normalized consensus EPS estimate for Edison International in the second quarter was 83 cents.
The company booked second-quarter net income attributable to the company of $276 million, or 85 cents per share, compared to net income attributable to the company of $278 million, or 85 cents per share, in the second quarter of 2017.
Southern California Edison Co.'s core earnings contribution during the quarter declined to $297 million, or 91 cents per share, from $307 million, or 94 cents per share, a year ago.
Edison said it will issue 2018 earnings guidance after the California Public Utilities Commission makes a final decision on Southern California Edison's 2018 general rate case.
