General Electric Co. raised gross proceeds of €2.23 billion from an offering of 1.5% senior unsecured notes due May 17, 2029.
The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, investment in securities, redemption or repayment of debt securities, and acquisitions or investments.
Barclays Bank PLC, BNP Paribas SA, Citigroup Global Markets Ltd., Deutsche Bank AG's London branch, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, HSBC Bank PLC, J.P. Morgan Securities PLC, Merrill Lynch International and Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC were the lead underwriters.
Commerzbank AG, Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank SA, Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd., ING Bank NV's Belgium branch, Mizuho International PLC, MUFG Securities EMEA PLC, RBC Europe Ltd., SMBC Nikko Capital Markets Ltd., Societe Generale SA, Standard Chartered Bank, UniCredit Bank AG and Wells Fargo Securities International Ltd. also served as underwriters for the offering.
