Yamada SXL Home Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Nov. 30, 2014, came to a loss of 76 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of ¥1.12 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥154.4 million, compared with a loss of ¥227.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to negative 1.3% from negative 1.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥12.21 billion from ¥12.70 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥12.45 billion from ¥13.04 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥4.20 billion, or a loss of ¥20.60 per share, compared to a loss of ¥390.0 million, or a loss of ¥1.91 per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of Jan. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.49.
