First of Long Island names chief risk officer

Glen Head, N.Y.-based First of Long Island Corp. named Janet Verneuille as executive vice president and chief risk officer of the company and unit First National Bank of Long Island, effective June 3.

Verneuille previously was executive vice president and CFO of Islandia, N.Y.-based Empire National Bank. Verneuille will replace Christopher Becker, who will become First of Long Island's president and CEO after Michael Vittorio's retirement Dec. 31.
