The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportationon April 27 approved the reauthorizationfor the FCC, the Internet of Things bill and the FCC Process Reform Act.
On approval of the FCC reauthorization bill, Sen. John Thune,R-S.D., committee chairman and bill sponsor, said in a statement that the billwill reauthorize the FCC for the first time in 25 years.
The FCC Process Reform Act callsfor greater transparency and efficiency in the procedures of the regulator, andthe Developing Innovation and Growing the Internet of Things Act is meantto ensure appropriate spectrum planning and interagency coordination to supportthe Internet of Things.
