Wood tapped to support development of Scarborough gas field offshore Australia

Australian oil and gas company Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has awarded engineering and technical services firm John Wood Group PLC with a contract to support the execution of concept for the proposed upstream development of the Scarborough natural gas field offshore western Australia.

Secured under a long-standing master services agreement, the contract covers: concept definition-level engineering associated with the floating production unit, subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines; flow assurance; and overall system integration of the upstream development.

Work will be delivered by Wood's specialist field development studies team in Houston, Texas and Perth, Australia.
