Dai-ichi LifeInsurance Co. Ltd. received approval from Cambodia's Ministry ofCommerce to establish a representative office in the country.
The insurer said July 25 that the representative office,which will be located in the city of Phnom Penh, will conduct market researchto facilitate the company's entry into the Cambodian market. The office wasestablished July 14.
Norimitsu Kawahara was named as the representative for theoffice.
Dai-ichi Life is the first Japanese insurer to be grantedapproval to set up a representative office in Cambodia.
