Amazon's 'Top Gear' rival to be called 'The Grand Tour'

Amazon.comInc.'s much anticipated motoring show featuring Jeremy Clarkson,Richard Hammond and James May will be called "The Grand Tour."

The "Top Gear" rival is set to launch this fall forAmazon Prime members and will be in the form of a world tour. The show, whichwill feature short films shot in different locations around the world, willoffer Amazon customers in those locations tickets to attend the show. Thecompany said May 11 that it will announce the details of the schedule soon.

Amazon signedthe trio after the U.K.'s BritishBroadcasting Corp. fired Clarkson from "Top Gear" inMarch 2015, after a fracas with a producer. Hammond and May did not renew theircontract with BBC and followed Clarkson to Amazon.

The show is being produced by Andy Wilman.
