Mercantile Bank of Michigan names execs

MercantileBank Corp. unit Mercantile Bank of Michigan announced promotionseffective Jan. 1, 2017.

Mercantile Bank of Michigan promoted Ray Reitsma to presidentof the bank. Reitsma, who currently serves as West region president and seniorlender, will be replaced by Mark Augustyn. Augustyn is a founding employee ofthe bank and currently serves as regional commercial loan manager.

Doug Ouellette was promoted to chief community bankingofficer. Ouellette will add the new role to his existing responsibilities ascentral region president.

The bank also named Doug Holtrop and Justin Karl, currentsenior vice presidents in the commercial loan department, as commercial loanmanagers.

Lastly, Jeff Kaiser was named risk management departmenthead.  He currently serves as loanadministrative risk manager. Kaiser is replacing Robert Worthington, whoassumed the role of COO in January.
