Financial consulting firm Protiviti Inc. hired former NAIC President Adam Hamm as managing director.
Hamm will be based in Chicago and will work with financial services companies on compliance issues including cybersecurity, he confirmed to S&P Global Market Intelligence.
Hamm was appointed North Dakota Insurance Commissioner in October 2007, elected to a four-year term in November 2008 and re-elected to a second four-year term in November 2012. He served as president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in 2014 and became chair of the NAIC's Cybersecurity Task Force in January 2015. He starts his new role with Protiviti on Jan. 3, 2017.
