BlackRock's Q3 adjusted EPS up 27% YOY

BlackRock Inc. reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $1.22 billion, or $7.54 per share, compared to $944 million, or $5.76 per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Adjusted net income attributable to the company for the most recent quarter increased to $1.21 billion, or $7.52 per share, from $966 million, or $5.90 per share, in the year-ago period.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus normalized EPS estimate for the quarter was $6.86.

Revenue for the quarter totaled $3.58 billion, up 2% from $3.51 billion in the year-ago quarter. Investment advisory, administration fees and securities lending revenue increased year over year to $2.88 billion from $2.78 billion. Investment advisory performance fees, however, declined to $151 million in the third quarter from $191 million in the year-ago quarter.

BlackRock reported $10.61 billion of total long-term net inflows during the third quarter.

BlackRock's AUM totaled $6.444 trillion as of Sept. 30, compared to $6.300 trillion as of June 30 and $5.977 trillion as of Sept. 30, 2017.

The company made $500 million of share repurchases during the third quarter.
