Wall Street moves: BofA global i-banking head to leave; Janney, LPL nab advisers

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of selected executive management changes among the major Wall Street investment banks and other notable moves. The changes are listed by announcement date in reverse chronological order.

Jan. 16

Perella Weinberg Partners LP appointed Jeff Stute as a partner in its advisory business based in New York.

Stute previously was JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global co-head of healthcare investment banking.

Jack MacDonald and Tom Sheehan are set to become Bank of America Corp.'s co-heads of global investment banking following the departure of the current leader, Diego de Giorgi, the Financial Times reported.

MacDonald is a California-based technology banker, while Sheehan is a New York-based healthcare banker.

Skyway Capital Markets LLC hired a new investment banking team led by Beth Cahill from CEA.

Cahill was appointed as senior managing director and Michael Johnson was named managing director.

Jan. 15

Evercore Inc. named Zaheed Kajani as senior managing director in its investment banking business.

Kajani previously was a managing director and global head of the internet and digital media practice at Citigroup Inc.

Michael Roberts Associates Inc. affiliated itself with Commonwealth Financial Network, the registered service mark for Commonwealth Equity Services LLC, InvestmentNews reported.

The advisory team, which manages $500 million in assets, previously was at Cadaret Grant & Co. Inc.

Baraboo, Wis.-based Baraboo State Bank's investment program, Third Oak Investment Services, has joined LPL Financial LLC's broker/dealer and corporate registered investment adviser platforms from Raymond James Financial Inc.

Third Oak has served about $200 million of client brokerage and advisory assets.

Jason Hutchinson was named managing director in Lazard Ltd.'s middle-market telecommunications, media and technology group, based in San Francisco.

Prior to this role, Hutchinson served as managing director and head of global technology M&A at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. and head of technology M&A at Houlihan Lokey Inc.

Financial adviser Cathryn Budd, who previously worked at Merrill Lynch, has joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC's Atlanta branch.

Nicole Macarchuk was named general counsel and COO of Angel Island Capital Services LLC, while Robert Ryan was appointed CFO.

Previously, Macarchuk was KKR & Co.'s managing director and general counsel of public markets, while Ryan was CFO and COO at Archview Investment Group LP.

Bank of America appointed Jiro Seguchi and Jin Su as co-presidents of the Asia-Pacific region in addition to their current roles, Reuters reported.

Seguchi is currently country executive of Japan and head of corporate and investment banking in Asia, while Su is co-head of fixed income, currencies and commodities businesses for the Asia-Pacific region.

The two succeed Matthew Koder, who moved to the role of global head of corporate and investment banking at the end of 2018.

Jan. 10

Harbor Financial Group, which serves about $360 million of client brokerage and advisory assets, joined LPL Financial's broker/dealer and corporate registered investment adviser platforms.

The advisory firm comprises five advisers, who were previously at Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network LLC.

New York-based Perella Weinberg Partners is planning to name Peter Weinberg CEO, according to Bloomberg News.

In addition, Bob Steel will reportedly become chairman, while current Chairman Joe Perella will become chairman emeritus.
