Labrador Iron Ore to pay special dividend of 30 cents per share

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corp. declared a regular cash dividend of 25 Canadian cents per share for the fourth quarter and a special dividend of 30 cents per share.

The company said Dec. 14 that both dividends will be paid Jan. 25, 2018, to shareholders on record as of Dec. 31, 2017.

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty also reported that Iron Ore Co. of Canada Inc. declared a dividend payable Dec. 21, with Labrador Iron Ore's portion totaling US$15 million, or about C$19.3 million.

The company has an approximate 10% interest in Iron Ore Co. of Canada, which is majority-owned by Rio Tinto.
